February 28-March 29, 2015
59E59 Theaters, Theatre B
In the NYC premiere of Long Story Short, the creators of the acclaimed Off-Broadway hit Striking 12 took audiences on a roller-coaster ride through a romance and 50-year marriage in 95 minutes and 17 songs. A funny, frazzled couple — one Jewish, one Asian-American — careens from first date to old age, illuminating the joys and challenges of any long-term relationship through a catchy and moving pop-rock score.
“A blissful departure from the usual musical theater tropes . . . Smart and surprising.” - San Diego Union Tribune
“Funny and true . . . expect to laugh a lot, weep a bit, and be totally swept up in an almost through-sung tale that’s told through expert language.” - San Diego Theatre Scene
“The songs blend various strains of pop and theater tradition with clever and sometimes sassy lyrics . . .
a must-see for anyone who loves theater, loves music, and loves love.” - Pittsburgh City Paper

Death for Five Voices
Nov. 15 at Castello di Gesualdo, Italy
Nov. 17 at Teatro Carlo Gesualdo, Avellino, Italy
Death for Five Voices is a gripping new musical drama investigating the voices that lived within the notorious and groundbreaking composer Carlo Gesualdo. Mills' sophisticated original score incorporates themes from Gesualdo's sacred music to weave a complex and psychologically thrilling tale exploring the dark harmonies of Renaissance composer—and murderer—Carlo Gesualdo.
This international workshop production in Italy was a chance to further develop the work, an opportunity for first hand research and international artistic dialogue, and the first time Prospect's work was shared internationally!
