When the sudden drowning of her son destroys life as she knew it, Lyuba abandons her family. Years later, she learns that their house is going to be sold and summons the courage to return -- only to discover her daughter and stepdaughter have had to grow up much too fast in her absence. Will this family of three strong-willed women be able to heal their grief? Will they save each other, or will they lose everything?
Tony Award winner Katrina Lenk leads the cast as Lyuba, in a concert of songs from this folk and jazz inspired musical that is a re-imagined, feminist and multi-racial riff on Anton Chekhov’s play The Cherry Orchard, by the Lilly and Jonathan Larson Award-winning writer Emily Xu Hall.
